who prefers seeing download speed in megabits per seconds instead of megabytes per second? yeah, you get a bigger number, but size of the thing you are downloading is still in megabytes, so to get an idea how long it's gonna take you have to divide download speed by 8

@punishedbernadetta I prefer seeing speeds in bits in general (just for granularity), and sizes in power-of-2 units (kibibytes, mebibytes, gibibytes etc.)
I find that only extremely seldom does a UI for a download not provide a remaining time estimate based on some running-average of the speed in addition the the speed itself, which is more helpful anyway, IMO, than me guesstimating in my head, I guess.
