Spent hours playing the English version of Monster Dragon Tactics Card only for the game to delete my save. And it's not battery issues either, I transferred it from my Pocket to my GBA because I wanted to play it in color and a screen that said something like "1M Memory" or something came up and then my save was gone. I tested with a new save to see if it was holding and it was.
So I guess putting it in the Gameboy wrong destroyed it. Cool. I think I'll leave playing that game for... maybe never cuz it's really slow and tedious grinding all the cards (like a Yu-Gi-Oh! game but those don't randomly delete :l).
Just a reminder that unofficial hardware can be really really jank at times. I hope there will be a way to play it on emulator or flash cart one day, then I'll give it a go again.

I lied I already started grinding again. It would be nice to make sure it's emulatable though since I can't get it to open. It's probably being block off by the battery cage getting in the way due to poor PCB design. I'm too afraid to try and force the front of the cart off in-case I destroy it.
Nope, it happened again after taking it out and putting it into my GBA. I'm switching to the Chinese version in a standalone cart which I hope won't have the same weird multicart issues.
It's not too complex so it's totally doable even without Google Translate but it's nice being able to read everything in English.
Also huge advantage to the standalone cart, the Analogue Pocket correctly detects it as a Gameboy Color game,
My Chinese cart just randomly started to only boot into a black screen after I turned it off and on (didn't even remove the cartridge).
It's like the universe doesn't want me to play Monster Dragon Tactics Card :(
