Would you rather:
@dotjayne advanced high-diving for the win!
@dotjayne "oh, come on, the extracurricular activities on offer at this school can't be that bad"
the extracurriculars:
@dotjayne@tech.lgbt lol that's why i always disable typing notifications, i can't let anyone see how long it takes me to compose a message lol. editing it over and over takes time
@dotjayne I have a coworker who does this to me
@yomimono that's practically a hostile work environment, lol
on a serious note, there's a special place in chat hell for people who expect you to respond to a "hello" before asking their question instead of just sending it all in one go
@dotjayne I had a (different) coworker who explicitly wanted this!! She would get mad if you just sent her a question instead of a “hello, how are you” first. Earth has all kinds of people
@yomimono smh, I wonder how much of it is an age or culture thing vs people being people. Google had a specific policy against this (go/no-hello iirc), one of their few policies I still agree with, assuming they haven't changed it in order to be even more evil.
I used to work for a company that mandated that you wait for a reply to 'hello' before asking your question
@dotjayne I'm a sucker for progress bars. I don't care if it's important or not.
@dotjayne@tech.lgbt where's the option to drag the other person with me off said cliff
