So I got asked by my mom to set up a FitBit with my dad's phone today.
His flipphone, but I figured it might run some Android variant so it was worth a shot.
APPARENTLY THIS EXISTS:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/KaiOS
"based on the Firefox OS open-source project."
WAIT SOMETHING CAME OF THAT?! FirefoxOS was discontinued in 2015 after being late to the party and only shipping on bottom tier phones with disastrous performance...
(Well that and the TV stick failed kickstarter.)
It's not a good flipphone. Every button press takes seconds to register, and many button inputs are just dropped. There's apps, but it's just progressive web app for YouTube expecting touch on a phone with a d-pad and a version of Google Maps with the worst search I've ever seen.
_There is a manual option in the power menu to Free Memory Space._
This thing is baffling that it exists and is a bizarre tech dead end and I'm fascinated by every inch of its baffling existence. Wow.
