Yes! Finally got @cas old hacks rebased on the newly upstreamed panel driver for the #pixel3.
Now I have an up-to-date 6.7-based #postmarketOS, that can turn the screen off **and** on again! What a revolutionary feature for a smart phone.
Jokes aside, this was easily the most frustrating problem with this device (and I refuse to buy another device to play around with mobile linux).
It still has a million reasons keeping me from daily driving this thing, but now this is actually fun to use and play around with. Maybe this motivates me to contribute in this space.
For anyone wanting to play along, I cleaned up and pushed the current state of my #postmarketOS pixel3-port:

@drakulix @cas Thread's been dead for two months

May just try rebuilding and see if it works now
@drakulix COSMIC mobile shell when? :)
@jokeyrhyme Funny thing. I *actually* have some ideas to repurpose parts of cosmic for a little mobile UI experiment.
But if that happens, it will be exactly that: An out-of-tree unofficial and unsupported experiment.
Any proper Cosmic mobile plans are not even in their infancy.
