The Linux Foundation are carrying out a survey on "Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion in Open Source", and I know this is something #foss #freesoftware and #opensource people (and opponents thereof!) on the Fedi have opinions on. So please boost and fill in.
Contributing to an evidence base may be a way of highlighting the problems and shaming people with money into doing something about them.
@diffrentcolours I gotta be honest, this feels like a bad faith move. These text boxes are tiny and it is very hard to fit anything of substance into them, least of all explanations. The multiple choice/ranking combined format has both the options "other" and "none of the above." There are yes-and-no questions with a third option for explaining, but it changes your selection to that option from yes or no. Wordings are vague or confusing. Orders are switched for questions with the same options.
@diffrentcolours This is either in bad faith or the Linux Foundation has no access to people trained to collect data in the form of surveys.
@diffrentcolours theres something ironic in the saddest way about a survey about accessibility i struggle to use because its painfully inaccessible
im going to assume/hope its just incompetence on their part but... yeah.
