Fictional sport idea for dragons and kobolds
It's called Nuggets
10 dragons, 50 kobokds
Each dragon has a knapsack full of shiny things. 200 rocks, 100 crystals and 50 gold coins. Rocks are worth -10 points, crystals are worth 20 points, and each gold coin is worth 50 points.
The dragons' objective: to end up with the most valuable hoard of shinies in their knapsack (which is not necessarily the biggest given that rocks are negative points).
Kobolds roam freely among the dragons. Dragons cannot move. The dragons are expected to give kobolds lots of treats, and kobolds do tricks and dances and make silly sounds to try to distract the dragons and trick them into giving away their shinier and more valuable treats. The dragon cannot look in their knapsack; they have to offer these treats by feel alone and can offer multiple treats (which is a decent strategy if you feel you have a lot of rocks left). Of course, the rocks and crystals generally get devoured on the spot. The coins are carried with the kobolds. Dragons can do tricks and dances and blow kisses back at the kobolds to try to charm them into giving away their precious gold coins or uneaten crystals (however, if the kobold is full and offers rocks instead, the rocks must be taken). 30 minutes are allotted for chaos, and at the end of it all, the dragons empty their knapsack, and the nuggets are counted. The dragon with the most valuable hoard at the end gets to take home the entire team of kobolds.
Just my main character Schleicher. Started out as a shading practise, but escalated. Whoops.

Love how this sketch commission turned out! The little tongue and that sorta exasperated expression as he's writing in his spellbook really brings him to life. Commission was done by Atlas over on Twitter: https://twitter.com/explorermoo?t=cTf6mFrKXnweN0Lf1Scycw&s=09
Go commission them, they do amazing work!

A first of its kind collaboration on Voice of Dog pulled together by Rob MacWolf wherein a larger framing narrative of characters sitting around a fire telling stories to each other provides the backdrop for the flash fiction pieces that they tell to each other. I narrate my own story about a moth chasing after his firefly boyfriend through an asteroid field in "You're My Guiding Star"

Clive and Sherman are about to find out the truth to the rumors of spirits on the train they’ve hitched a ride on. But will they survive?
A spooky story for a Halloween themed set of episodes from last year.

Selene’s a fox forest spirit made of leaves who’s determined to leave no field unfrolicked in. Who will she meet on her adventures?
Honestly, even with this story being so short it's probably my favorite I've written so far. I really think I nailed the writing style I was going after and I'm still happy with the ending all this time later.

If you're interested in submitting a short story to be read on The Voice of Dog podcast, but aren't sure if the story fits, or just want to see what the podcast is like, here are a list of the stories I've had featured:
"Unpredictability": https://www.thevoice.dog/episode/unpredictability-by-nenekiri-bookwyrm
Kinse the kobold party planner has never met a dragon like Wylia before. Can she give her the party she wants? Or is she too unlike her other clients?
Or do they really care so little for their kobolds?
Out of the hundreds of kobolds, only six have volunteered to get to the bottom of this mystery. Working together, they'll discover the truth. There's power in a union after all.
On my second major revision draft and it's sitting at 45K words currently. Whatever happens with it, it's my biggest and most ambitious project to date!
