So for those of us who haven't been following the drama, what's the best way to run a simple WordPress site these days? Ideally in a container I can stick behind my SSL-terminating proxy.

I explicitly don't want any stalky plugins that phone home, but the ActivityPub plugin would be cool so blog posts go straight onto Fedi.

(also do I know any people who are any good at creating WordPress themes?)

@diffrentcolours ClassicPress + MariaDB. ClassicPress is a fork before all the Gutenberg/Blocks silliness and ActivityPub group of plugins work as advertised. (Also makes themes easier.)

You sound like you can handle the YAML but ask if you want help.
