Hello cuties! I figured I'd do an #introduction

You can call me Alethe (after wracking my brain this is the only name I came up with that I didn't hate). I've been lurking on the Fediverse for a while now and I'm feeling both impressed and intimidated by all the amazing people here. In addition to being radicalized I've also learned a whole lot from you.
I'm interested in languages (currently learning Japanese!) and I'm an upcoming linguistics student. I'm also interested in math and programming, though I'm kind of burnt-out and it might be a while until I pick them up again. All the nerds here are definitely inspiring though and I'm itching to try my hands at projects like self-hosting.
As far back as I can remember I've never been an active participant in public social media, but I want to change that so hopefully you'll see me posting stuff from now on. No guarantees about the quality though.
