I think a lot about relatively niche ethical issues in IT. In part because thats my career, more or less. And those thoughts effect a lot of choices I make when it comes to technology.
But one thing, that didn't entirely click for me for a stupidly long time. Is that it is a privilege to be able to make those choices.

@trashheap This is always a good thing to remind ourselves.
Could it also be a +1 if you have the privilege and time/bandwidth to distill the issue for people with less privilege time/bandwidth.
I think if entered with a humble attitude it could be a good thing.
I think often about the concepts of passing these things along conceptually. 🤔

They often require skill and knowledge, if not money, time, mental bandwidth or other resources. It's not something to be proud of.
If you find yourself fortunate enough to be able to chew on a niche ethical issue do so. In fact you might have a duty to mull on it.
But it doesn't make you a better person.
