At the end of the workday, people come from all over town to see the lights glowing on the Central Canals. On the banks, streets vendors sell all kinds of creamy goods, perfumed with violet, maté, carob, or even osmanthus.

Every big moon revolution, the inhabitants of Hieropolis are « invited » to gather in the temple of the orbs. The Guiding Orbs descend on them and decide regularly to ban the most dissentious members of the community from the city.
To this day, the fate of people who refused to obey the orders of the orbs is unknown.
[Entry A4 : Hieropolis]
The Banned Ones are to go as soon as one of the three moons set. They are ignored as they pass the gates towards the desertic moors, never to return.
It is not unheard of entire families to go together and depart from the town.
