oh holy crap i didn't expect this to blow up so much
help im not used to posts gaining this much traction
@tusooa ok so basically i copied sol.exe (and cards.dll, because solitaire wont run without it) from a 64-bit installation of windows xp (it wouldnt work for some reason if i copied from 32-bit xp) to a floppy disk image, then mounted said disk image on my windows 10 vm
then i booted into setup, pressed shift+f10 to get to a command prompt and ran a:\sol.exe
hopefully i did a good enough job explaining this; if not, oh well
@inkling quick, say something all the trans people will think is cute while you have their attention
@lunacb uhhhhhhhh uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh girls… pretty…
@inkling If this is real you're my new hero. I've bypassed many full-screen setups to do other things but never from the boot phase.
@redrummy yep, it's real!
@inkling can this please be part of setup? I really like installers that let me play a game or two while I wait for the operating system to install.

How... How isn't this a thing already...
Quick someone make a pinball, solitaire, and Minesweeper part of some distros install image
@inkling Shift+F10, sol.exe ?
