@efertone@tech.lgbtI was so excited for a long time when I read the news @thunderbird got a new push and people are working on it, and on an android version too... After all this time, I'm still get excited when I see updates, but I always realise I'll not use it as I moved to @protonprivacy 100% a few years ago with everything and I don't have any other server I would use. Now they are open for beta testing (https://mastodon.online/@thunderbird/113227984903636121) and I don't even have an email address to use it with. :/
@efertoneI'm still excited to see all the new fancy updates and I'm always happy to spread the word, but it's a bit sad I know I'm out of that life. (No, I don't want to use Bridge and sync my mail down, I don't want a PM connector/support, that's not about that, just a random thought)
@efertone @protonprivacy Thanks for sharing your story and we'd love if Proton Mail users had the option to use Thunderbird for Android, like they can use the Desktop app, in the future! And if that happens, we'll always be here to try :)
