A couple years ago I built these PA speakers. I originally covered the speakers with this brass colored aluminum grate. I just replaced that with some black netting yesterday.

In 2021 I really wanted to focus more on drawing characters, and especially my OCs. After a loooong time not drawing, it was especially hard to draw human figures, and I can't draw a comic without characters!
I think I'm a bit better now but I struggled so hard at the time and those are some of the least worst drawings of my OCs Jonah, Juliette and Jasper, the protagonist trio of my comic project ❤️💜💙

Then 13yo starts turning up Bikini Kill.
I had to stop myself from turning around and saying "Dude, turn it down! I'm talking to Moth's mom!"
I swear that I actually drove away thinking to myself "Sweet. She let us go." Like I wasn't a grown ass middle aged man.

It doesn't help that none of the kids' friends are using their given names, and not all are out to their parents. So every time I meet parents I have to try to remember what name to use front of which parents. Now I'm standing in the driveway. I have to actually remind myself to step out from behind my car door.

So I'm taking the kids and two of their friends to Indiana Beach, an amusement park. My 13 year old has taken to my taste in music.
At this point it's me and three teenagers in my little hatchback with the windows open and listening to Black Flag, and Screeching Weasel. I'm picking up the last kid and their Mom comes out to the driveway. I get out to meet her. And I already feel like I'm in trouble.

I’m part of a co-op building a platform for artists to sell art without getting exploited. I’ve been working on it for a while but there’s a lot of work to do and I could use some help. A ton of the main features are in place, but there’s still some big gaps and a lot of polish left before it can launch.
The platform is fully open source and developed in the open. It’s built on Phoenix/Elixir and Tailwindcss. Our co-op is already incorporated and established and it’s open to members that want to actually commit but you don’t need to be a member to contribute or help.
Does this sound interesting? I’d love some help! I’m also happy to answer questions. And no, you don’t need to know Elixir already. It’s pretty easy to learn for the things you’d be using it for. Even some design help would be welcome. Feel free to reply here or DM me!
