Today is the day that I learn that the Raspberry Pi uses the *GPU* to boot the operating system
@anizocani The VideoCore IV processor that the Pi uses was originally marketed to companies building smart TVs and set-top boxes; the original run of Raspberry Pi boards was done using surplus chips that dude got cheap through his relationship with Broadcom. The ARM core was really an afterthought on this chip.
