Well, guess this can serve as both my and my post!

Hi! I'm Megan, a 44yo freshly-hatched woman living in and just starting on my transition journey. I'm mostly just a grab-bag of dusty memes and pop culture references, but am also trying to become a good little leftist and be more politically active. I do a lot of , but I'm hoping to start writing more of my own toots as I work through both my gender and political awakening.

Much love to @theropologist and all the folks at beige.party for letting me visit for a spell, but I'm not nearly funny enough to hang with them (you should totally follow everyone there, though!). Hope I can find my tribe here on tech.lgbt instead. 😊

See you around the ! 😘

Public

@memnus Hi! Happy to finally be here! 😊

@alshra @andthisismrspeacock @theropologist This old cis gay man wishes you the best in your journey! He's 61 and lives in Watertown, MA.

Public

@wx1g @andthisismrspeacock @theropologist Thanks! I've got friends in Watertown and I love the Arsenal there 😊

Public

@Di_Libu Hi there!

Public

@alshra@tech.lgbt Welcome out, and greetings from Providence! :nkoWave:

Public

@TamsinSays Greetings fellow Rhody! ♥️ I'm from Ashaway originally and lived in for most of my life before moving to in 2017! 😃

Public

@alshra@tech.lgbt I'm a transplanted Rhody, being a native Californian who lived in Seattle for ~14 years before moving out there in June 2022. 😁 I hope you're enjoying Boston!

Public

@TamsinSays Oh cool, my parents were also Cali transplants before moving out here in the late 70s. Hope you're liking Rhody so far (despite the weather!) ♥️

Public

@alshra@tech.lgbt I am! My wife and I have a lovely home, and we're connected to a beautiful and thriving community. We missed a lot of the excitement of the recent weather, what with being in California for the first couple weeks of the year, but the weather overall has actually been quite lovely. 🥰

Public

@TamsinSays That's wonderful! Hopefully you've had a chance to see the sights, like visiting the beaches or going to places like Block Island or Newport. There's a lot crammed into such a little state! 😊

Public

@alshra@tech.lgbt Some of them, yes! We haven't made it to Block Island yet, but I'm told that Pride season is the perfect time to visit. :neocat_wink: Of course, that's also the perfect time to go to Provincetown, which we did last Summer... 🥰

Public

@TamsinSays Ooh yea, Provincetown is still on my bucket list, and now I have an even bigger incentive to go! 😃♥️

Public

@alshra@tech.lgbt Provincetown is magical. After visiting with my wife and two of our besties for a long weekend, I understood the phenomenon of people visiting a place and suddenly deciding they want to move there. I could've happily stayed for a week, a month, or more. Just being able to walk around as my gay-trans-girl self and have that be completely unremarkable was... honestly, it was life-changing.

Public

@TamsinSays Oh that sounds incredible! So happy you got to experience that! 😊

Public

@alshra@tech.lgbt Thank you! Me, too. 😁 I hope you're able to go and experience it for yourself.
