@jk_na I don’t think I’ve ever spotted a phone number given using Kanji numerals before!

@noelle I’m hoping that the <dialog> element should make a lot of this better. IIRC Esc should work automatically when they’re shown as modals

@aral I love* to be told on the one hand that they’re protecting the Good Friday agreement re the protocol, and on the other that they’re considering withdrawing from the rights framework required by the same.

*and by ‘love’, I mean ‘despair’

I made this illustration today. It's actually a combination of two things I did. I made a photo study of a tree at my parent's place. So I painted the background digitally in procreate. And today I made a little illustration of a fox and added it to the painting.

@athairbirb I hope so too. In 2014 I would’ve voted no, if I’d had a vote. But with the benefit of hindsight, and having moved to Northern Ireland, and seeing the way this place is being abused by English exceptionalist government re trade and Troubles legacy, I’ve done a complete 180. I hope there’s many like me within Scotland, too.

The VK-Pocket. When you look at it, it looks back at you with your own eyes.

The eye on the screen is a live view. The black dot to the left is a wide angle high resolution camera; it performs face detection and crops the eye region for display, wherever it is in the frame.

@wakame I’m a big fan of limits forcing people to be more concise and structured. It feels exhausting to scroll a feed full of giant posts, especially on mobile. And while people often say ‘this should have been a blog post’ to long threads, it feels as though the thread is also a unique and valuable form that is a distinct thing from a blog post

By popular request, I have decided to devote the rest of my life making XML-Python, the most efficient way to write Python

@tatey So far it’s been pretty good! I am sometimes a bit taken aback by the limited number of results, although I understand the reason why they limit them. I think I’ve found what I was looking for quickly enough with most searches

@jalefkowit wow, I remember this. @Cabel made it, if I’m remembering correctly, so I shouldn’t be surprised that it’s still there
