Hi, I’m Emily!

I’m a recently out trans girl doing teaching and research in computer algorithm design at UT Dallas. I’m married to a wonderful and supportive wife, and I have two young boys.

When I get a moment to myself, I like to play video games, mostly metroidvanias, RPGs, and puzzle games. I did a lot of swing dancing when I lived in Illinois, but kind of burned myself out. I’m also a giant math and programming languages nerd.

I was on tech before I came out publicly as @emmaybe, but migrated to @abstractcow@hachyderm.io when I thought it best to move all my follow lists to the more "professional" focused instance. But then I realized I mostly posted about lgbt or neurospicy stuff anyway, so it made sense to come back here. Hello again! :blobfoxwave:
