NASA is launching a mission to say sorry to all the aliens.
They are calling it Apollo G.
@TheLetterTen If aliens are stuck watching our TV broadcasts in space, the least we can do is apologize for the ending of Game of Thrones.
Controversial take: the words “the ending of” are superfluous
@partnumber2 @TheLetterTen the first four seasons were good, everything else was a trash dumpsterfire
@TheLetterTen no. NO. LMAO!!!
@TheLetterTen About time we apologize for the unsolicited dick pics we sent on the Voyager golden records.
@waterluvian @TheLetterTen, wasn't a pregnant woman drawing sent instead because clotheless people was a rude concept at the time?
@solre @TheLetterTen Interesting. I haven’t heard of that one, and don’t know for sure. I know that Pioneer, which launched five years prior, included this on a plaque, so I’m leaning towards it likely being untrue.
@TheLetterTen Who let the dads out?
Who? Who? Who? Who?
@TheLetterTen ? are we saying sorry before we try to destroy them?
@TheLetterTen This is the content I'm on Mastodon for
@TheLetterTen
sharing widely!!
@TheLetterTen @sybren took a remarkably long time for that penny to drop.
@TheLetterTen They did! Apollo 11 was the Apollo G mission!
:-)
@TheLetterTen Thanks for the laugh, needed it.
@TheLetterTen
Oh this one’s brilliant!
@TheLetterTen out of this world! nice one :)
@TheLetterTen best joke in the universe
@TheLetterTen I am trapped in the awkward position of both begrudgingly applauding this and also booing it simultaneously
@TheLetterTen Apollo A though F have failed.
@TheLetterTen I'm curious, can you tell me what it is?
@TheLetterTen NASA's not going to help you undo that joke.
