Did you know ivory blocks akkoma? Cc @puniko@mk.absturztau.be

@cleo @puniko fediverse: we have a couple of standards so everyone can federate!

Ivory: yea, no, fuck you

At the very least, it should work like Tusky does with Akkoma - the extra features don't work, but you still get the very core - posting, liking, following, etc. To just not work for accts that aren't Mastodon is incredibly silly.

@yassie_j@snowdin.town @MiaWinter@tech.lgbt @cleo@bz.pawdev.me no clue what they use, but apperantly, they either check for what the server is, or they don't entirely use mastoapi. otherwise it would work with any mastoapi compatible server

@puniko @cleo @yassie_j part of activity pub i think is identifying what you are, like my pixelfed shows all the federated instances what type they are, down to the specific misskey fork. I guess they just query that and refuse if it isn't "Mastodon"

@MiaWinter @puniko @cleo yeah, on Akkoma, it shows you in a little tool tip next to your username what kind of software you're using. eg for you, Mia, you're on Mastodon v4.1.0. So it could be as simple as just using that info and blocking anything that isn't running Mastodon software.

@MiaWinter@tech.lgbt @cleo@bz.pawdev.me @yassie_j@snowdin.town would be funny, if it would work when a server mocks that info

Public

@puniko@mk.absturztau.be @MiaWinter@tech.lgbt @yassie_j@snowdin.town it does. It works on calckey... until it crashes cause they try to parse strings as ints

@puniko @cleo @yassie_j that's how Useragent died lul
