@AzulCrescent plus, you have to either pay rent or taxes for your home, plus food is pretty much a subscription
If it was a single subscription to unify it all and cheaper I would prefer it to be honest.
@AzulCrescent Cost of living is outside my budget
@catsalad @AzulCrescent The 'trick' is to be rich enough to be able to afford to live off the grid self-sufficiently
@AzulCrescent And if you're in the states, and the medication is still under patent, it will be an expensive subscription.
@AzulCrescent Broadly speaking, under capitalism, the subscription is your labour.
@N_RON_Evolved @AzulCrescent That's just to pass the background check to see if they'll take your money.
@AzulCrescent see also food, rent, actually literally fucking everything under capitalism
@AzulCrescent @xssfox I’ve been thinking a lot about this exact thing for a while now. Especially when I’m going weeks without because our country can’t be bothered to make enough ADHD meds to give new any.
Thank the gods there’s no shortages on HRT meds.
@AzulCrescent Thanks for reminding me to take my antidepressant
@AzulCrescent how did you get this extremely accurate and factual depiction of me
@AzulCrescent Yeah. All these dystopian ponderings already exist for anyone with a disability, that's for sure.
@AzulCrescent @smallsco Strong “Despite the cost of living, have you noticed how it remains so popular” and “Growing old is great, consider the alternative” energy.
@zigi_now9 @AzulCrescent would be generally good yeah.
